1
Free Consultation
In this meeting families will share their concerns about their child's individual education plan (IEP). I will offer guidance on what it would look like to work together to navigate the special education system, develop an appropriate IEP, protect the child's rights, and advocate for the child's needs throughout their education. This consultation is confidential, informative, and tailored to the specific needs of each family.
2
Document Review
A document review includes documents related to the Full Initial Evaluation (FIE), IEP, 504, and Progress Reports in order to understand the current programming and its appropriateness for the child. I will then meet with the parents or guardians to discuss findings and make recommendations.
3
Advocacy Services
As an advocate, I'll walk alongside you throughout the year to support you, provide recommendations and ensure your child's educational needs are met and their rights are protected. I will be available to review documents, attend meetings, provide information and resources, help resolve disputes, and refer parents and guardians to other professionals as needed.
4
Special Education Assessments for Districts
My assessments aim to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of special education services while ensuring compliance with regulations. The scope of the services includes questions related to program organization and management, student identification and placement, and program service delivery and instructional practices. I assess factors such as staff allocation, program procedures, compliance monitoring, service delivery models, and teacher professional development opportunities. My assessments also examine aspects such as student enrollment trends, referral and placement processes, and student IEP and Behavior Intervention Plan compliance.
